But I'm bored. So here's a quiz I got from Aeire. Enjoy it while you can, I don't think I'll be doing another one for a while...
x. name = Chris
x. birthday = October 9th, 1983
x. piercings = None.
x. tattoos = None, but I draw on myself sometimes. So occasionally I'll have an all-seeing pyramid, or the letter pi on the back of my left hand.
x. height = 6'1"
x. shoe size = 9.5. Or so.
x. hair color = Brown
x. length = past my shoulders, curly at the ends, usually in a ponytail.
x. siblings = Two sisters, one brother, all younger.
x. pets = none at the dorm, but at home I've got two cats, Patrick and Ashley. And there's a dog and some hamsters there, but I don't consider them mine in any way.
x. movie you rented = hmm. I really don't remember. Maybe Office Space. Maybe Pi.
x. movie you bought = Lord of the Rings. Mmm.
x. song you listened to = currently: The Who - Another Tricky Day
x. song that was stuck in your head = various music from Yeomen of the Guard, by Gilbert and Sullivan
x. song you've downloaded = Barely Breating by Duncan Sheik (finally)
x. cd you bought = something by Moby, I think.
x. cd you listened to = As a full album? Quadrophenia. Despite the fact that it's ripped. It's one 85-minute MP3. Mmm.
x. person you've called = My parents, to arrange for a ride home from college
x. person that's called you = My parents, for the same reason. Aren't I boring?
x. tv show you've watched = Hockey. Football. Previous to that, probably Harvey Birdman.
x. person you were thinking of = Aeire, cause I was reading her quiz. :D
x. have a bf or gf = No.
x. have a crush on someone = Yes...
x. wish you could live somewhere else = No. Ann Arbor kicks ass.
x. think about suicide = Not for years.
x. believe in online dating = Oy. I believe that it's possible to become attracted to someone, on some level, online. The physical presence is a real important thing to me, though, so I don't see how "dating" can really work online...
x. think others find you attractive = I honestly have no idea. Someone did at one point, at least.
x. want more piercings = No, the only holes I want in my body are the ones that are supposed to be there.
x. want more tattoos = Not particularly, but if I had a really cool idea for one... my friend got a little pi on the back of her left shoulder, maybe I'll tattoo some math on me somewhere. God, I'm such a geek.
x. drink = Caffiene.
x. do drugs = Nope.
x. smoke = No, I've lost too many people to that already.
x. like cleaning = Yeah, if I'm in the mood. Or if I'm motivated. :D
x. like roller coasters = I didn't for the longest time. But now? Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!
x. write in cursive or print = I write in this small-caps style block print that's very easy to read. I'm an engineer, and you can tell it by my handwriting.
x. carry a donor card = If my license counts. It's filled out.
for or against..
x. long distance relationships = Generally against, depending on long-distance. My last girlfriend, for a long time lived an hour away. This was during high school, so I saw her every weekend or so. That was fine, I like driving, but I don't know that I could deal with more than a couple hours away. Of course, this is all objective - it's quite likely that if I become seriously attracted to someone who lives far away (and gods, I know a lot) then I won't give a crap about what I just said.
x. using someone = Against. It's happened too often to me.
x. killing people = Against. I couldn't kill someone, myself. However, I find myself wishing convienient, unrelated-to-me death occasionally.
x. teenage smoking = Smoking is a bad idea, no matter who does it, in my opinion. The sad part about teenage smoking is that they're often not old enough to know better.
x. doing drugs = I don't. I don't think pot is a big deal. The harder stuff, I'm rather against, because that can fuck you up bad, and quickly.
x. premarital sex = Heh. I used to be such a puritan. But that was because I couldn't have had premarital sex if I tried. When it comes down to it, I'm fine with it ("fine" might be a little too weak of a word) provided that proper precautions are taken.
x. driving drunk = Idiots, all. This world has lost too, too many people to drunk drivers. God dammit.
x. gay/lesbian relationships = No problem here. I have gay and lesbian friends. Their attraction, their love is no less true than that between a man and a woman. Who am I - who is anybody - to say otherwise?
x. soap operas = The ones on TV annoy me, but I do read Avalon.
x. gum = Juicy Fruit, I think.
x. tv show = The West Wing. Or Law and Order. Or Star Trek TNG.
x. thing in the world = Love. Sappy, perhaps, but it's true.
x. thing to collect = Lapel pins. Souvenir things from various places. I've got ~250 of them.
x. colors of all time = Black. Dark green. Red (but not too bright). Blue, especially dark. Occasionally, royal purple.
x. thing to do on a rainy day = Drawing, reading, cackling at the thunder.
x. feeling in the world = being in the arms of someone you love.
x. food = Ice cream. Maybe.
x. song = One? no. I could name twenty, and have trouble picking those. Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright is up there, as is American Pie and Starry Night, both by Don McLean.
x. thing to do = Can't choose one. Draw, read, be with people.
x. thing to talk about = Anything. I love a good argument.
x. sports = Hockey. Michigan football. Used to like baseball, but that's sort of faded.
x. drinks = Root beer. Chocolate shakes. Milk.
x. clothes = My top hat, if that counts. If not, then I don't know, but I'm rather comfy in this big blue robe I'm wearing.
x. picture = Oy. Maybe http://scatterplot.keenspace.com/images/DarthDickens.jpg - I like this aspect of myself.
x. movies = Contact. Lord of the Rings. A lot more.
x. band(s) = See above, about music. but the Beatles have always been up there, and the Who, and BNL, recently...
x. holiday = I really don't know.
x. cars = Old Beetles, 50's-style T-birds and the like.
x. ever cried over a girl = Too often.
x. ever lied to someone = Not in any significant manner, for a long time. "What, no, you weren't interrupting me..."
x. ever been in a fist fight = No. Reason? Apart from the fact that I don't like hurting people, I'd very likely lose.
x. ever been arrested = Nope. Got pulled over once, but that no turn on red sign REALLY shouldn't have been there, I made a perfectly safe turn.
x. shampoo do you use = Some blue thing from Meijer.
x. perfume do you use = None. Nor cologne. My deodorant is slightly scented, though.
x. shoes do you wear = either my white sneakers, or these falling-apart black-and-green Adidas sandal-not-quite-sneaker things.
x. are you scared of = losing people.
x. of times I have been in love?: Define love. Anywhere between one and six.
x. of times I have had my heart broken?: Anywhere between one and six.
x. of hearts I have broken?: None. I think. I don't know of any.
x. of boys I have kissed?: Er, one. My sister's boyfriend, on the cheek. He's a fun guy.
x. of girls I have kissed?: one, not counting all that silly truth-or-dare shit in middle school. One, that I really meant.
x. of boys I've slept with?: None. I share a bed with my little brother, occasionally, on vacations, but I doubt that's what's meant.
x. of girls I've slept with?: one.
x. of continents I have lived in?: one.
x. of drugs taken illegally?: None.
x. of people I would classify as true, could trust with my life type friends?: At least two.
x. of people I consider my enemies?: No enemies. People I have mild dislikes for, due to conflicts, but mostly that's just silly.
x. of people from high school that I stayed in contact with?: A whole bunch. So many of us went to the same university. And AIM helped. On my buddy list, there are... 26 people from my high school.
x. of cd's that I own?: 40ish.
x. of times my name has appeared in the newspaper?: five, six, something like that. Various little bits about academic awards and such, and one piece on Guys and Dolls when I was in it.
x. of scars on my body?: three? maybe four.
x. of things in my past that I regret?: Not too many. A few general things, but why bother, when there's no way I can fix them?
