Next week: online testing for Jeopardy!


I'm ineligible for this test (since I'm on the contestant list until October 1st), but I can still urge the rest of you to take it! It takes less than 10 minutes; you go through 50 questions at 8 seconds each. They list the times by time zone (and "strongly encourage" you to adhere to it), but if you're in PST you can still take the EST test at 5 PM PST if your schedule works out better that way. Only restriction is that you only take it once (and you have to register ahead of time).

They'll be holding auditions in Seattle this year, so you won't have to drive down to Portland like I did last year.

Good luck to those of you who go for it! I know some of you have enough random knowledge to pass... They keep the passing threshold a secret, but it's believed to be around 35, perhaps 40 out of 50 questions.
