What a wonderful phrase.
It's no passing craze?
I, for one, welcome our new Blue State Overlords.
I believe I shall hope for the best here. I'm not entirely pleased here, but let's be realistic. I wouldn't be pleased by any mainstream candidate for any of the national offices. So I'll watch and see.
My main concern, though, is for civility. There is just far too much in the way of polarization on issues these days. Vilifying your opponent is rarely a good idea, at least for political discourse. It makes working with them so much harder, after all.
Enough said. Happy days.
I'm heartened by McCain's concession speech and Obama's acceptance speech, both of which had healthy amounts of respect for their opponents.
We'll see how civility comes along.. I suspect it'll fare better than in the Bush days, at least.
G-d, I've been a wreck. A Drunk, drunk wreck.
Yes, we CAN -- because yes, we DID!
