The house thing happened rather fast. We'd been searching for about two months, our agent pointed out a house he'd noticed, and in one week, we visited it on Tuesday, visited some other houses and then visited it again on Thursday to make sure it was the one we wanted, put together the offer paperwork on Friday, submitted it on Saturday and got the counteroffer the same day, signed off on the counter Sunday and turned it in Monday, and that was a week and a half ago.

But just the previous weekend, I'd been despairing as to whether we'd actually be able to find a house that fit all of our desires...

Complete rewrite. The stuff in the filter may or may not be used in some form in the future, so I'll ask that you continue to keep it to yourself.

By the way, does "pyrlogos" mean anything? I know "logos" is greek for story, symbol, message, reason, etc. But why and whence the "pyr"?
