|Fandom Project: 59 - Food

|||||Sora reading fanfic to me||]|
Tonight I rolled percentile dice to pick my first prompt at random, and rolled a 59. In the chart, this corresponds to Food.
Vash the Stampede, from the anime/manga Trigun, is quite fond of donuts. When I rolled a percentile die to determine my first prompt, and got 59 (Food), Sora pointed out that I didn't have Trigun on my list and suggested it as a potential fandom for this prompt. Upon adding it to my list, I noticed it was #59 in the numbered list I kept, and I knew I had to do it.
This was penciled with a mechanical pencil, inked with a Copic pen, and colored with Copic markers, on bristol board. Basically the second time - or perhaps third - that I've done a full piece with my Copics...
The full chart and list of fanarts can be found here, and my fanart project gallery is here.
This is fun!
Holy crapola, that's awesome. Nice work!
I think your link to the full chart and list is off, though, unless you were deilberately trying to link it back to this entry...I'm curious to see what all you settled on drawing. ^_^
And I don't know what you're talking about - that hyperlink was never empty, no. It always pointed where it was supposed to go. See?
Eeee... I still think this looks so utterly fantastic, beloved. :D You did an amazing job on it. *HUGS*
Also: Bonus points for awesome shading.
1. I love how crisp everything turned out. The colors of the sky and the footprints really set the drawing up a notch.
2. The shading on the hair and coat is really, really nice.
3. Is that a damn good donut or what?
And your icon reminds me that I need to add Transmet to my list.
I really meant to start that off with "Thanks!". Heh.
Hey Oh! I'm looking forward to this weekend in a wicked way :)
A couple of questions though...
I know we talked about it before, but how would you prefer me picking up my key card? I still think leaving it at the front desk works best (that's what I've done at other cons), but I could also call you when I'm near the hotel and have you meet me.
Also, are you and your girlfriend driving down or taking the bus? I know you don't have a car, but I don't know what her situation is. Each room gets one parking space, so if you're not using it, then I would like to take it. Obviously, if you guys are, then it's no big deal. Basically, it takes me about 1/3 of the time to drive, so I'd rather come in that way so that I can jam more in to my Fri evening and maybe even pop in tonight.
Regardless, I'll be seeing you soon!
I've got answers!
Leaving the keycard at the front desk should be workable. I don't see why they wouldn't be willing to do that, so I'll ask them when we check in.
As for the parking, I noticed the restriction on the Doubletree, but we're staying at the Hilton (since the Doubletree sold out) - it's really not far, and I think they might have shuttles running. The parking there doesn't seem to have any restrictions, but will apparently cost $16/night. Sora has a car, and that's how we were planning on getting there, but that was before I realized how expensive parking was. We're likely to be taking the bus, it looks like - the route isn't too bad for us. The 174 stops right near the hotel. (I don't know what evening non-overnight parking is like at the Doubletree...)
See you soon! This is going to be awesome.

Apropos of very little...
...do you have other comics projects in the works?

Re: Apropos of very little...
Not as such. I've got some ideas, some seeds for my next project. But I don't want to jump back on the regularly-updating wagon quite yet.
I'm basically taking this opportunity to try to sharpen my skills, practice new techniques and styles, and so forth.
