Books, and V

I need to stop buying books for a while.

Yes, I know. It feels as odd for me to type it as it is for you to read it. But I know it to be true.

Books completed in the last two weeks: two.

Books acquired in the last ten weeks: about ten.

This hasn't been a particularly unusual couple weeks, either. I mean, I did visit a used bookstore with Sora a couple weekends ago, which isn't as regular an occurrence as you might expect, and we hit the Barnes and Noble at Pacific Place last night while waiting for the movie (more on that in a minute), but the pattern of acquiring books faster than I can read them has been the trend for the last couple years, and merely accelerated in the past few months. (At some point, I intend to put up a list of the books I've read this year, since I've seen others doing it and I'm a bit curious.)

So. I need to stop buying books for a while - I intend to at least make a dent in my to-read bookshelf before I continue.

We'll see how long this lasts.

Anyway, Sora and I went to see V for Vendetta last night. We were quite pleased with the movie - it was an excellent execution, and well adapted, in my relatively ill-informed (having only read about 30 pages of the comic so far) opinion.
