Balticon! [Mar. 23rd, 2006|11:03 am]
Darth Paradox
[mood |busybusy]
[music |Elton John - Come Down In Time]

So, there's been an addition to our con schedule this year:

* Balticon, May 26-29, Baltimore, MD

We'll be catching a red-eye (and therefore actually showing up on the 27th) and departing Monday afternoon, the 29th, thanks to the Memorial Day weekend.

Anyone else planning on showing up? (Well, I know one of you is already...)

Why? Why would you voluntarily go to Baltimore? *shudders*

Oh, I don't know... I've been to worse cities. Filthy-delphia, I used to live in!

Well, I mean, so have I, but that's hardly an argument for subjecting yourself to it in the first place...

I kinda liked Philly (other than the CRAZY CRAZY DRIVERS who think red lights are optional, or something), but then I've never had to live there. luinied seems to like it ok, though.

Ahahaa, point taken. I mean more along the lines of, the more you see, the more jaded you get. ;) It's all a matter of desenitisation.

:D I learned how to drive in Philly. Chris has, thus far, managed to avoid screaming in terror when I'm driving 'round here, but I think it's a near thing, sometimes. ;)

There are good things about Philly (the food! unf!), but on the whole, I prefer the west coast, m'self. :)

Rob Balder, a.k.a. partiallyclips. Cartoonist, filker, game designer, and I think a few other hats that I really can't come up with off the top of my head. So to speak. (I'm trying my damnedest to wear some more of those hats myself, as it happens.) I guess he's halfway between a jack-of-all-trades and a renaissance man, as far as geekdom is concerned.

Anyway, he's the guy that originally started prodding me to go to Balticon.

(Yes, I know you're going too. But I said "our" con schedule, so I basically included you from the beginning. :P)

Ah, I didn't know he had an LJ. I am amused!

Yay hats! They're fun and keep things interesting.

I do remember you mentioning that he was the one who was poking you re: Balticon. :D

(Bahahahaa, I noticed. :D And I felt loved. But I figured I'd reply anyway!)

I might be around for part of the con...I want to go, but I think I've got friggin HOBY meetings that wekeend (really, HOBY cuts into my other obsessions/life). Do you still have my number? We'll have to get together for lunch or something, even if I can't wander the Con, as Balt is ~45mins from my house. (and I know exactly where the con is being held, too.) BONUS: You might see my ex there :p
