Coworker: "I've got bad news, guys. The network's back up."
*ROFL* That's just fabulous. XD Sounds like our reactions after an outage. :D
We'd been playing darts in the breakroom. We were most of the way through an abbreviated version of Cricket when the network came back.
*ROFL!* That is utterly fabulous. XD
Who was winning the Cricket game? XD
Our manager was, but I caught up to her and then another coworker passed us at the last round - we decided to do one more after the network came up. :D
ROFL! How cool!! XD
Did I mention I like my job? And my coworkers and manager? :D
Bahaha, why no... XD I am glad to hear it, though. It sounds like massive amounts of fun and joy. :D Yay for job satisfaction and happy things!!
Of course, just as you were writing that I was exploring a less-happy portion of my job.
Namely, a frustrating lack of official documentation about our code.
Well, of course... ;) Timing is everything.
And -- Gah. *comfort* Is there at least unofficial documentation? Anywhere? :X
That depends on whether "go ask your coworker" counts.
Hmmm... Well, that's often my resource for research... XD So I guess it counts, as long as there's someone to ask.
You have more patience than I. After hearing at 3:25 that there was no ETA and to expect the network to be down for awhile, I ran off to catch the 3:45 ferry.
Yeah, a couple of our team members had left by then. Of course, ironically, one who had left earlier in the day due to a mild sickness and was working from home was actually able to get online via the VPN and resolve tickets that were rotating around the group because we couldn't handle them.
So they ork cows in Seattle, too, huh?
I, um, don't know what you're talking about.
*hides the mutilator*
