My planned schedule for NaNoWriMo
You'll notice there are two numbers every day. One is the pacing number - the number of words I need that day to be on an even pace for 50,000 words. That one is in parentheses. The main number, though, is my own goal of 2,000 words a day. The 2K/day schedule gives me room to miss that goal or have to drop a day, and still make 50K.
I'll be posting this table often, filling in the days with my actual wordcounts and projected totals. (I'll be posting excerpts from my story, too.) If you want my clean version of the HTML code for the table, let me know!
In other news, tomorrow's Scatterplot will be the last one until December...
Edit: The straight HTML for the schedule can be found here.
Actually, I'd really appreciate the HTML code. That's a pretty awesome idea.
You are being such a dork about this, it's fantastic. :D :D :D
I wish you lots of luck! Will you be posting your story as you write it / after it's done, or shall we, your loyal and loving audience, be forever deprived?
I'm not being a dork, I'm being a geek. There's a subtle difference. :P
...Yeah, okay, I'm being a dork. So be it.
I'll be excerpting it as I write it. When I'm done, it pretty much depends on whether I think the end product is good enough - or can be made good enough - to warrant sending out to publishers. (I will gladly make it available to you (and any other individuals as may be interested), but if it stands even a slight chance of being published, I won't post it publically in its entirety.)
Dude, we're not "dorks". We're "modern, cool, nerds".
Yeah, I might also steal this. It will definately keep me on track.
I'd recommend you try NaNoWriMo, but you seem to have enough going on as it is...
We'll see how it goes.
I don't like to write solo, either. :)
I too am going to try to write a novel for NaNoWriMo
Excellent. What are your plans?
to be honest, I'm not sure....and what does NRI mean?
INRI is an acronym for "Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum", Latin for (roughly) "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews". According to the Bible, it was on a sign put above Jesus on the cross.

ah, my latin sux I thought it was something else, but I kinda had a feeling that that was the joke you were going for.
Mind if I borrow your HTML? I'm copying your 2000 w/d because that is so much a more rememberable goal, and it keeps me on track.
I was always one, in school, to write my papers single spaced, 10pt font, and then when I could write no more I'd realize I was already waaaay past the required page amount when I just double spaced, 12 pt font. No squibbling about with margins/far too large fonts ... just make your expectations a bit higher, and suddenly you're where you'er supposed to be.
I figre I can do that with NaNo ... the font won't help me, but ... the word count will! Two weeks in I'll feel behind, but still be ahead!
Feel free! The link is right under the calendar.
