Other stuff... [Jun. 1st, 2004|07:16 pm]
Darth Paradox
* I got a nifty ID badge thing. It's barely thicker than a credit card, but has electronics in it so that I just have to bring it near to a reader for it to activate. And the picture doesn't look crappy!

* Apparently Jeff Bezos is a big dodgeball fan - he actually has a court specifically for dodgeball at one of the Amazon buildings. They have broomball, too - I'm looking forward to that.

* The buses in the downtown area are actually free during the normal business area. Pretty cool. Still getting a pass, though, because it'll be useful (like when I go to pick certain people from the airport...).

The badge is probably passive component RFID, not active electronics... But you're lucky that the picture isn't crap! =(

I'd forgotten about the difference between passive components and active electronics. Unpowered, I'd suppose.. I guess this thing is little more than a glorified version of one of those anti-theft stickers?
